Bear in a Tree

We were up at the cottage this weekend. First break from Saturday turnovers. Tom spotted the bear on the lawn of house down the road from the cottage. So he came to get me so we could watch her. She was up in the apple tree having her way with it, eating as much as possible. We later realized that the 2 cubs were way up in the pine tree watching her. They are still adorable!

Here are two movie clips of mama bear having a great time in the tree. The dog is in a fenced in area to the right of the tree and the bear is obviously familiar with the dog because she isn't phased by him.

New Furry Friends

Dogs can be scary. Like these that showed up at the cottage. Scared me the first time I saw them. So much so that I did not go outside, I just watched from the window. It was apparent that they were friendly this time.

Just another dinner

Here is an example of just another dinner at Fergusland. Rib Eye's on the grill, baked potato, a couple of shrimp and fresh spinach with garlic and feta cheese. Oh, and of course a whole bottle of red wine! I guess that is why I can't seem to loose 50 pounds!

Our first house

Here's our first house. Remember this place? The trees we planted back in 1992 have grown so large that you can't see the house anymore.The white picket fence is a nice touch. They hung that stupid barn star! I hate those. They are everywhere and obviously made in China.

Cottage plant boxes

I am pleased with the planter boxes on the front of the cottage. Took these shots yesterday. The plants did much better this year than last year. The boxes are high up off of ground so I can't tend to them at all. And Tom HATED putting the plants in them. I am a clutz on a ladder so Tom had to do the planting.

Kitty Movies

Okay this one is for the cat lovers. Here are a few kitty movies. I am so glad that I made these so I can see my kitties whenever I want. These are of Barney and Beck in the bathroom sink and a movie of Duster doing his wave. All of these cats are in kitty heaven now. So sad, but it is nice to visit them through these videos. It makes me smile!
